Florida Gateway College Negative Impacts of Technology Analysis I want the topic to be about the negative effects of technology. There has to be a clear thesis statement. The sources need to be from the last few years. FYS Paper 3 Instructions
Formatting, etc.: Papers should be typed using a standard 12-point font (e.g., Times New Roman,
Calibri), doubled spaced with one-inch margins.
Topics/Structure: You can write on any topic you want, as long as it is connected in some way
with the issues about liberal education, technology, the good life, citizenship, justice, and liberal
democracy that we have been discussing over the course of the semester. Your paper should have
a clear and identifiable thesis and should then develop an argument for that thesis.
Length: The paper should be AT LEAST 1,500 words long. Include a word count. Papers that fail
to reach the minimum word count will automatically receive a failing grade, no matter their other
merits.
Turning in your paper: All papers must be uploaded to Canvas.
Due Dates: You must hand in a rough draft of your paper and participate in the peer-review
process in class on Wednesday December 4th. Failure to do so will result in a 1-point deduction.
The final draft of the paper is due by noon on Wednesday December 11th.
